This is a day late, but rest assured I still got comics this week. Brightest Day got off to a solid start, and it looks like I'll have a busy comics schedule again from here on out. This is what I grabbed this week:
Booster Gold #31
Fables #94
Batman #698
Secret Six #20
Adventure Comics #10
Brightest Day #0
Flash #1
Unwritten #12
X-Factor Forever #2
Black Widow #1
If you're here for gifs, fear not, they will be coming soon.
New Adventure Time Soon!
It's Monday yet again, and that means it's almost time for some brand new Adventure Time! This week we get not one, but two all new episodes as well as a new episode of Flapjack. Here are the episode descriptions:
Adventure Time with Finn and Jake: Prisoners, Tree Trunks
The Ice King captures Finn and Jack, who are stashed along with the king's collection of princesses; an elephant joins Finn and Jake on a noble quest, but Finn wonders if she's capable enough for the journey.
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack: Lazy Bones, Candy Cassanova
No description.
I'll have at least one episode's worth of gifs up here tomorrow, as well as some new content on YouTube. Until then, have fun, and don't be a patoot (or fifty patoots).
New Comics Day!
It's a little bit of a slow week for me, but I've still got plenty of good stuff to read, so I have no complaints. With Flash, Brightest Day, and the Zatanna ongoing coming soon, I'm going to have plenty of new stuff going on soon and it gives me time to read some of the stuff I've been meaning to get to.
Batman And Robin #11
Red Robin #11
JSA All Stars #5
Superman Last Stand Of New Krypton #2
Flash Secret Files And Origins 2010 #1
Buffy The Vampire Slayer #34
Slumber Party Panic Gifs
Here are a few gifs from the latest Adventure Time episode, "Slumber Party Panic". This episode had pretty much everything- zombies, Army of Darkness references, math jokes and ridiculously quotable lines (I have been saying "bros are supposed to tell bros everything all the time" all day). I am so excited for the future of this cartoon and I can't wait for next week!
Adventure Time Premieres Tonight!
The moment I have been waiting years for is finally here! Tonight, Adventure Time's premiere episode airs as part of Cartoon Network's new Monday block. There'll be new episodes of Flapjack and Chowder too (and of 6teen and Johnny Test, but I don't care about that).
Here's what we have to look forward to:
Adventure Time with Finn and Jake: Slumber Party Panic, Trouble in Lumpy Space
Princess Bubblegum and Finn accidentally create candy zombies after an experiment goes awry in the premiere of this cartoon set in the surreal Land of Ooo. Later, Finn tries to find a cure for Jake, who was bitten by a Lumpy Space princess.
Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack: The Return of Sally Syrup, Mind the Store, Don't Look in the Drawer
Sally Syrup returns to Stormalong Harbor after a crash. Later, Dr. Barber leaves Flapjack and K'nuckles to look after his shop, with one very important rule.
Chowder: The Toots, The Birthday Suits
Chowder accidentally eats a tootin' fruit and becomes a musical sensation. Later, while trying to go to Mr. Fugu's fruit party, the gang's fruit costumes are destroyed. Now they must try to get new ones before an angry mob and the police catch them.
Everything tonight is only half new- Trouble in Lumpy Space is the Adventure Time episode that was on iTunes last month, and The Birthday Suits and Mind the Store, Don't Look in the Drawer have both aired before. But it's still pretty exciting stuff! Adventure Time kicks things off at 8:00pm EST (Johnny Test is at 7:30 if you have wildly different tastes from me).
Check back here and at my YouTube tomorrow for Adventure Time gifs and video clips. I might try to get some Chowder and Flapjack stuff up too. Until then, here's hoping tonight is totally math.

New Comics Day!
Today marks the end of Blackest Night, so it's a pretty exciting new comics day for me. I feel like I wound up falling behind in almost every comic I read because of it, but it was worth it. I've actually already read Blackest Night #8, but here's everything else I'll be reading this week.
Detective Comics #863
Jack Of Fables #44
Teen Titans #81
Justice League Of America #43 (I haven't read a JLA comic in quite some time, but I wanted to check out the new lineup)
Justice Society Of America #37
Adventure Comics #9
Gotham City Sirens #10
Blackest Night #8
X-Force #25
CAVEMAN BATMAN
Over at the official DC Universe blog, there are some images from the upcoming Return of Bruce Wayne, and they're pretty exciting stuff.
Looking at these makes me think of the goofy fantasies I had about Bruce making a dinosaur into his Batmobile when they first showed him in the cave with anthro, and seeing how close they may be to coming true makes me want to jump up and down.
I know that there are some people who are skeptical about time-traveling Batman being canon (that's not my Batman), but man, comics are supposed to be fun, and I can't think of many things more fun than Caveman Batman, Cowboy Batman, or especially Noir Private Investigator Batman.
I have really been enjoying Dick as Batman, and I wish we had a little longer to see him trying to find his footing in the position, but at the same time, I can't wait for this. I can't wait to see Tim finally be proven right, I can't wait to see the way Bruce reacts to everything that's happened while he was gone, and I especially can't wait to see what he's been up to for all this time. For a good while now, I have felt so excited for things to come in comics, from Blackest Night and the Batman Reborn titles, and now there's this and Brightest Day, and the Heroic Age over at Marvel. It is a good time for comics. I'm happy to be a fan.
